Navigating the UK-EU Customs Reset and EIDR Strategy

In a recent interview at the Multimodal exhibition, Rob Keegan shared critical insights regarding the shifting landscape of UK-EU trade. Following a featured piece in the FBJ, the discussion centred on the impending "UK-EU reset" and the strategic importance of adopting Entry in Declarants' Records (EIDR) to maintain seamless trade flows.

Whilst the 2027 deadline may seem distant, the complexity of HMRC approvals and the need for a clean three-year record Rob discusses that the time to prepare is today. By investing in EIDR now, businesses can avoid burdensome processes and ensure they are "ahead of the curve" when the new SPS deal takes effect.
