ACS Has Ended. TSS Is Changing. What Does It Mean for GB-NI Traders?
News
October's edition of Customs & Trade Monthly is live!
Welcome to this month’s customs updates. This edition looks at the changes to The Trader Support Service (TSS), the end of Assisted Completion Service (ACS) and what they mean for your Supplementary Declarations.
Customs News and Updates
If you move goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland, October marks an important change. From 20th October, new movements will need to be filed through TSS 2.0, meaning businesses using TSS need to make sure they are prepared for the new platform or find an alternative solution.
Our October edition of the Customs & Trade Monthly takes a closer look at what the closure of the Assisted Completion Service (ACS) means for traders and introduce EORI’s new SUPPDEC Support Service (SSS), bringing the same expert support EORI has provided behind ACS for the last three years.
While the systems are changing, the customs framework remains the same. The Windsor Framework and the underlying customs requirements continue to apply, including considerations around classification, origin, valuation and whether goods are at risk or not at risk.
What do you need to do before TSS 2.0 goes live?
Find out what’s changing, what actions you can take now and what support is available in this month’s Customs & Trade Monthly.
Got questions about the changes happening in Northern Ireland trade?
With the upcoming changes, you may have questions about what they mean for your business, your SUPPDECs or the support available.
Our CEO, Rob Hardy, will be hosting a live Q&A on 4th November, covering TSS 2.0, SSS and the wider changes affecting GB–NI trade.
