What is The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) ?
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) is an agency of the United States Department of Commerce that deals with issues involving national security and high technology.
Its main job is to create rules about what technology and services can be sent out of the United States to other countries.
