What is a Phytosanitary Certificate?
A phytosanitary (Plant Health) certificate is used to prove that plants being exported are free from dangerous pests and diseases and are suitable for entry into the country of import.
If an Export Health Certificate is for products of animal origin then consider that a Phyto is for products of plant origin. It should be issued by the exporter and endorsed by the appropriate authority. It will be used to create a CHED.PP for clearance on arrival at the country of destination.
