What is ICS?
The Import Control System (ICS) is the EU’s electronic safety and security system for processing advance cargo information on goods entering the EU customs territory.
Used to conduct risk analysis before goods arrive at the border, helping to protect the EU from safety and security threats.
ICS is being replaced in stages by ICS2, a modernised version of the system.
