What is an Exit Summary Declaration (EXS)?
If you're moving goods outside the UK, you may need to make an exit summary declaration if you've not fulfilled safety and security requirements with a full customs export declaration.
The EXS (whether included in an EAD or not) will provide safety and security information to the place of exit and allow for them to make risk assessments so that the authorities involved can decide if additional checks or inspections are needed.
