Trade Agreements
Trade Agreements are arrangements between two or more countries that set the rules for how they trade with each other. They are designed to reduce barriers to trade, such as customs duties, quotas, and regulatory restrictions.
Trade agreements can provide benefits such as reduced or zero tariff rates, simplified customs procedures, and improved market access for businesses. To benefit from preferential tariff treatment, goods usually need to meet the relevant rules of origin requirements.
Examples include Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Customs Unions, and Economic Partnership Agreements.
