Inventory Linked Port (ILP)

Inventory-Linked Ports (ILPs) are ports that have customs control systems linked to the Customs Declaration Service (CDS), allowing for quick electronic clearance of goods upon arrival at the port.

Import customs declarations cannot be submitted at these ports without claiming the inventory using a port badge. These badges are purchased to allow agents to interact with the relevant Community System Provider (CSP).

A declaration is created and linked to the inventory record using a unique reference once the ship’s manifest has been created. Once all goods have been cleared using this unique reference, the goods are free to leave the port's temporary storage.
