C88

The C88, also known as the Single Administrative Document (SAD), was historically used to submit import declarations to HMRC. While the term “C88” is still commonly used, the document itself has been replaced by the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) since 2022. Import declarations are now submitted electronically via CDS, capturing the same core information previously provided on the C88.
