C21

A C21 (also known as a Customs Clearance Request) is submitted to release inventory‑linked goods that have already been cleared by other means. C21s can be used to release goods at both import and export.

 

For example, non‑controlled goods that arrive into an Inventory‑Linked port can be released by submitting a C21 that confirms to Customs that the goods are declared under EIDR (Link to EIDR glossary). This enables the goods to be collected and delivered immediately, with the supplementary declaration to be submitted later in the month.
