ATA Carnet

An ATA Carnet is an international customs document that allows goods to be temporarily imported into another country without paying import duties or taxes. ATA Carnets are commonly used for goods such as professional equipment and exhibition items that will be re-exported within a set period. A Carnet acts as a guarantee to customs authorities that the goods will not remain permanently in the country and simplifies customs procedures by replacing the need for separate temporary import declarations in each country visited.
