VAT & EORI

If you sell goods on a DDP (delivered duty paid) basis or hold consignment stock in the UK, you may need to register for a UK VAT number and a UK EORI number.

We have handled hundreds of these applications and, in many cases, can act as your UK VAT agent. Back-office support is also available should you wish us to present your VAT returns.

We can also handle remote VAT registration in Republic of Ireland and have excellent contacts in all other EU Member States.

STEP 1

Complete the short form below to initiate the process. We will then supply a link to our registration form for additional information.

STEP 2

Having processed your application information we will ask you to complete a Power of Attorney in accordance with VAT notice 700/1 para 11.6

STEP 3

Once we have your VAT number we will automatically apply for an EORI number. This is required to enable you to trade.

STEP 4

Quarterly or monthly VAT returns will be required and are submitted online. We can manage this process or assist you to manage in-house.

Why might you need to register?....

Consider:-

  1. If you are supplying goods on a consignment stock basis, the place of supply is most probably location of the store and you should therefore be registered for VAT (even if the rate is 0%!)
  2. If you are supplying your customer on a DDP (delivered duty paid) basis you will need to be able to handle the VAT element.  You may require VAT registration to achieve this.

Reverse charge is no longer possible with Brexit, hence the need to register.   If in doubt, get in touch!
