What is an EAD?

An Export Accompanying Document (EAD) is a document used in the export process to confirm that goods have been declared to customs and are authorised to leave a customs territory.

It is generated after an export declaration has been accepted by customs authorities and must accompany the goods to the point of exit.

The EAD helps customs authorities track and control exports and ensures that goods comply with legal requirements when leaving a country or customs union.
